MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Department of Labor says the state’s unemployment rate held steady in January at a rate of 4.1 percent.
For 2014, the annual average statewide unemployment rate was also 4.1 percent, a decrease of 0.3 percent from the 2013 annual average.

The January figure of 4.1 percent unemployment was also the same rate for January 2014.
In January unemployment in Vermont’s 17 labor markets ranged from a low of 3.5 percent in the Burlington area to 8.2 percent in Derby.
