High-profile attorney with ties to RGA to represent Jeremy Dodge in fight with Shumlin

Brady Toensing, the man who defended former Republican candidate for governor Brian Dubie against alleged campaign finance violations, was retained last night by jilted East Montpelier landowner Jeremy Dodge.

Toensing this morning offered this brief statement.:

“Mr. Dodge has been dealing with a sophisticated and shrewd businessman, a businessman who is also the most powerful person in Vermont, represented by one of the best lawyers money can buy,” Toening said. “Mr. Dodge clearly needed some help, and we welcome the opportunity to assist a fellow Vermonter.”

Toensing, a Charlotte resident and member of a prominent firm in Washington, D.C., will be joined on the case by property attorney Joy Carnes Limoge.

More on this breaking story soon.

  1. The State of Vermont has proven to have multiple crooked deceiving people in prominent positions. We pay LOTS of tax $ to enable them the power to screw thy neighbor for personal gains. It is obvious it was a personal gain for Shumlin, knowingly taking advantage of this guy.

  2. prudent man

Sounds like this is going to turn into a political fight, with a high-priced DC Republican lawyer going after Shumlin. I hope Dodge can just get his place back without being used any more.
