Sheriffs endorse Donovan

T.J. Donovan, who is attempting to unseat longtime incumbent attorney general Bill Sorrell, has picked up an endorsement from the Vermont Sheriff’s Association, the Donovan campaign announced this morning.

Donovan’s experience as Chittenden County State’s Attorney helped him win the backing of the law enforcement group.

Roger Marcoux, president of the sheriff’s association and the Lamoille County Sheriff said in a prepared statement that Donovan “listens and is responsive to the needs of our community.”

“Because of his experience as state’s attorney, T.J. has a unique understanding of the challenges facing law enforcement,” Marcoux said.
